James Earl Jones is an iconic American actor known for his deep, resonant voice. Born on January 17, 1931, in Arkabutla, Mississippi, he overcame a childhood stutter to become a celebrated performer. He gained widespread recognition for his role as the voice of Darth Vader in the “Star Wars” franchise. Jones also voiced Mufasa in Disney’s “The Lion King” animated films. He made his Broadway debut in 1957 and has since won multiple Tony Awards. His film credits include “The Great White Hope,” “Field of Dreams,” and “Coming to America.” Jones received an Honorary Academy Award in 2011 for his lifetime achievements. He has been inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame. In addition to acting, he has narrated numerous documentaries and commercials. James Earl Jones is widely respected as one of the greatest actors of his generation. RIP
